谷歌Chrome稳定版迎来了第三个维护版本v74的发布，详细版本号为v74.0.3729.157，上一个正式版本v74.0.3729.131发布于5月1日。14天后，谷歌发布了新版Chrome浏览器。这次升级主要是更新一个安全补丁，稳定性提升和用户体验。
谷歌Chrome v74正式版增加了两个关键功能：浏览器将通过减缓网页和操作系统的整合来获得Windows S10的原生黑暗模式。这比集成浏览器外壳更深入。如果您从相应PC的Windows操作系统的应用程序风格中选择了黑暗模式，浏览器现在将自动适应它。
谷歌Chrome v73正式版引入了对macOS平台的黑暗模式支持。用户升级Chrome 73稳定版并重新开启后，如果用户在macOS Mojave 10.14或更高版本中启用了黑暗模式，Chrome浏览器将跟随系统进入黑暗主题。但是，需要注意的是，设置页面不会改变。
谷歌Chrome v72正式版提高了与其他几大Web浏览器的互操作性，不赞成继续提供对TLS 1.0/1.1标准的支持(预计2020年初在Chrome 81中完全移除)。
谷歌浏览器v71正式版新增了拦截恶意诱导广告的功能，通过显示收费警告来打击恶意广告。Chorme还会将那些打开时自动播放声音的网页静音。用户必须手动点击播放按钮才能播放语音合成内容，因此用户可以直接禁止音频播放，无需主动操作。
谷歌浏览器v70正式版推出了许多新功能，包括画中画功能，禁用谷歌绑定登录，支持Windows平台上的渐进式Web应用程序，允许用户严格限制可访问网站白名单的扩展，以及AV1解码器。
